Supporting the next generation of talent

Maiden Rising STAR

"I’m interested in working in the cricket media and commentary"

Name: Eva aged 16 started playing cricket 10 years ago

Cricket Story: I play for my school, Yorkshire Cricket College and also Goole. My biggest achievement was at the age of 11 playing for the u17s and getting 34 wickets in one season. I’m interested in working in the social media side of cricket and commentary. I’d also like to develop my cricket and play it at higher levels.

Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador? I think that women’s cricket still isn’t where it should be. When I play cricket, my clothes never fit properly as it’s all mostly made for men. I love cricket and it has always been such a big part of my life. I want to advocate for more girls/ women to play and enjoy cricket.

Eva is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"
