General

Maiden Cricket makes cricket clothing designed specifically for women and girls, built for how you play - not adapted from men's kit. Every piece balances comfort, style, and performance, using high-quality fabrics and construction made to last through seasons of active wear

We use a higher GSM and denser weave, which means no see-through tops or trousers - just better coverage, more durability, and kit that helps you feel confident.

Maiden Cricket was founded by sisters Honor and Cat Black, who grew tired of playing in kit designed for boys and men and simply created kit that fit women and girls. They started Maiden with a clear mission: to create cricket clothing and equipment built specifically for women and girls - for how they play, their bodies, and their game.

Every product reflects that founding belief: women in cricket deserve kit made for them, not adapted from someone else's. Read more on our Our Story page.

Clothing

Our Signature Range, Teamwear, and Equipment are manufactured in India by a family-run business that has specialised in cricket gear for over 30 years, backed by a skilled team of 300 experienced staff - including a director who played professional cricket for a decade.

We work in close partnership with this dedicated team, overseeing every stage of production to make sure it meets our rigorous quality standards, down to the smallest detail. As a brand built for women and girls, we're especially proud that women play a key role in the management and production of our kit, a reflection of the values Maiden stands for.

That personal, hands-on approach is a big part of what makes Maiden kit special and how we maintain the craftsmanship and quality the brand is known for.

Our kit is designed for a wide range of ages and body types, spanning ages 6+ up to Women's XXL (with further expansion in 2027)

Because we cater to both growing youth bodies and women's figures, we'd always recommend checking your measurements before ordering and we can provide both body measurements and actual garment measurements on request, so you can order with confidence.

You may notice our 12–14 years size and our Women's XS (roughly a dress size 6–8) look similar. That's intentional, our sizing is built to capture all body types across age groups, from petite women to growing youth bodies. A few pointers:

  • Petite women: Our XS tops are designed to fit petite frames. If you prefer a slightly roomier fit, the 12–14 years works well too.
  • Trousers: If you're under 5ft 4in with slimmer thighs, you may find the 12–14 years trouser fits better than a Women's XS.
  • Older girls: Our 14–16 years is slightly larger than a Women's XS, cut to suit a curvier youth figure - so some 14–16 year-olds will find this size ideal.

The right fit helps you play your best on the pitch, so it's always worth taking a moment to check.

For exact measurements, see our Clothing Size Guide and our Equipment Size Guide (covering gloves and pads for women and girls), both featured next to every product below the description. Please measure yourselves in accordance with our Clothing Size Guide.

We want to ensure your premium kit stays that way, so, here are our top tips for keeping your kit in tip top condition.

• Machine wash cold with like colours at 30 degrees then,

• Wash inside out
• Hang dry. Avoid tumble dry
• Never use bleach or chemicals
• Avoid washing with heavy, velcro or zippered items (like jackets or jeans) that could snag or pull the fabric

You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request an exchange or return. This gives you enough time to try the item on and decide whether you are happy with the size, fit, or style.

GENERAL

What makes our cricket clothing different?
Maiden Cricket is designed specifically for women & girls who play cricket, with a focus on comfort, style, and performance. We use high-quality materials and construction to ensure our clothes are durable and will last through years of active wear.
Additionally, our fabric weights are heavier than usual cricket brands. One of our key brand goals is to design our kit to make girls and women feel confident. See-through tops and trousers were a big no for us, so our kit features a denser weave and a heavier GSM, providing better coverage and durability.
