Supporting the next generation of talent

Maiden Rising STAR

Excited to have been selected for MCC Hub U14 team "My Dream is to play for England"

Name:  Lily Mae, aged 12, been playing for 3 years and loves the game!

Cricket Story:  Last year I was proud and privileged to be selected to play Yorkshire County age group cricket for U11s. I was also proud to take 36 wickets across all 47 games I played for club, school, and county. This year I am so excited to have been selected for the MCC Hub U14 team and making it to county school finals. I was upset not to be selected for County age group U13s this year, but it’s made me more determined to work harder and I will trial for regional and work super hard and aim for U13 county observations again next year.
Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador?  It would be great to inspire others into playing cricket. Lots of girls need to know it’s not just a sport for boys. I love everything about cricket, watching and playing - the atmosphere is awesome. In the big future my dream is to play for England but for now I am working hard and want to concentrate on my club cricket, regional and county observations and to keep working hard and improving.

Lily Mae is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"
