Supporting the next generation of talent

Maiden Rising STAR

"I want to help break down barriers that girls face in poor fitting kit, wrong equipment and lack of confidence on the field"

Name: Amy, aged 14, has been playing for 8 years.

Cricket Story:  I am involved with 3 clubs, Dorset: Cerne Valley, Sherborne and Hazelbury Bryan. My biggest achievement so far is winning the indoor league after the first year at my club.  I want to carry on playing for as long as I can, play my best and help others enjoy it just as much.
Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador?  Role Models are so important, and I didn’t have one when I was younger. Maiden can help break down barriers that other girls experience while playing, like not having comfortable kit and suitable equipment. I am very passionate about cricket and want to be part of what Maiden is doing for Girls Cricket.

Amy is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"
