Lexi D
Lexi is leading the way for School, Club & County Cricket!
Name: Lexi aged 11, plays for Pennthorpe School, Rudgwick Cricket, Horsham Girls Cricket and on the U12 Sussex Cricket Pathway.
Cricket Story: I started playing cricket when we moved to West Sussex in Year 3 but sadly Covid got in the way of my first cricket season at Rudgwick and Pennthorpe. However, I quickly realised how much I loved playing cricket and have spent the last few years, playing for Pennthorpe and Rudgwick. Last year was my first season doing Sussex cricket, so I was thrilled when I got into the Sussex pathway again this year. This year, I have been learning to be a spin bowler which I am really enjoying, and I can't wait to play in a girls' team for Horsham Cricket.
Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador? I am passionate about helping to promote Girl's cricket in and out of school. Last year, I was the only girl in U11As at school and loved showing the boys what girls can equally do. I can never find good fitting cricket trousers or tops and I hate that they are see through and very unfeminine. I can't wait to wear the Maiden kit and take on this role.
