Supporting the next generation of talent

Maiden Rising STAR

"I love representing my county, the friends I’ve made and the opportunities I’ve been given"

Name: Violet, aged 13, has been playing since she was 5 years old.
Cricket Story: I play for my school, Sessay Cricket Club and Yorkshire. My biggest achievement and something I’m very proud of is being selected to play for Yorkshire. I love representing my county and the friends I’ve made and the opportunities I’ve been given. I want to continue to play for Yorkshire, but I hope to continue to enjoy playing the sport that I love.
Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador? I love Maiden Cricket clothing because it is designed to be comfortable, durable and tailored to fit female cricketers, where there is definitely a gap in the market. I LOVE that it’s been designed by girls for girls, and it’s made from recycled materials.

Violet is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"
