MAIDEN Ambassador

"I want to represent my family and Punjabi background to show other girls what they can achieve with hard work, determination and dedication!"

Name: Ashneet aged 20, has been playing for 9 years

Cricket Story:  I currently play for Hursley Park CC, Surrey Women & Hampshire Women. My younger sister also plays cricket for Hampshire and Hursley park cricket club. She is 12 years old. My biggest achievement so far is scoring 115 in the southern prem.  My dream would be to represent England and become the best female cricketer of all time!
Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador?  I want to inspire future generations of girls and women to take part in sport and follow their passion and dreams. I would also like to represent my family and Punjabi background to show other brown and ethnic girls of what they can achieve with hard work, determination and dedication. To be a role model to all girls and women.

Ashneet is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"
