"I have a huge passion for the game"

Name: Holly, aged 18 started playing cricket 12 years ago

Cricket Story: I play for Nassington Cricket Club, Nottingham Trent University and Northamptonshire County. My Biggest Achievement so far is getting my first 50 last season for my cricket club and my county fiver award. My next goal is to develop the Nassington Ladies team to get them promoted

Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador? Over the years I have had many positive and negative experiences in the game which people can relate to. Furthermore, when I was younger, there weren't many other girls around playing cricket, but the few that were there I would look up to. I have a huge passion for the game, and I love being a role model for other people and want to continue that in the future!

Charlotte

"Cricket is so important to me!"

Name: Charlotte aged 23, has been playing for a whopping 19 years!

Cricket Story:  Living in West Yorkshire, I've played cricket as long as I can remember and currently play in both a men's league on a Saturday and a women's league on a Sunday. I'd love to work on my leg spin bowling and hopefully make it to a county development side. I decided to set up "Is That Middle?" as an online digital magazine to celebrate everything about women's cricket. This involves sharing international and professional news, as well as opinion pieces, and top tips and advice to boost women's confidence getting into cricket.

Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador?  I'd love to promote the Maiden Cricket mission, as a woman that has grown up playing cricket. Women's cricket is so important to me, and it's why I set up Is "That Middle"

Charlotte is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them. Their drive to transform cricket into a sport that welcomes all, by providing the future generation of female cricketers with specifically tailored attire, resonates deeply with our own aspirations to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere and nurtures an environment that embraces diversity and equality"

Middlesex County Youth Player of Year

Name:  Vani, aged 17, been playing for 8 years!

Cricket Story:   This year I have created the first ever cricket team at my school which is all girls, so I really want to promote cricket among girls. All girls should feel comfortable when playing cricket without being judged, as I can use my experience playing with boys knowing how it feels.

Why do you love Maiden and wanted to be an ambassador?  I’ve grown up playing boys and men’s cricket until county cricket, and since then I’ve created a girls' team and school it's been a vital part in forming a now established girls set up at my old club, so I think I am perfect for engaging young developing girls into the sport. I am Indian Asian, which is good for diversity.

Vani is supported by Gateley: "We are a proud supporter of Maiden Cricket through the Rising Stars initiative and truly inspired by the innovative spirit and passion of young visionaries, Honor and Cat Black, to transform the world of cricket by contributing to a future where every girl can step onto the cricket field with confidence, dressed in kit that is designed specifically for them.
