Opening Batter

Maria has been playing cricket for 30 years and brings a wealth of experience to the women’s game at both club and county level. An opening batter, she plays for Old Bristolians Westbury Cricket Club and represents Gloucestershire.

Her cricket journey includes more than 20 years of county cricket, and she now captains both her club side, made up of talented young players, and the Gloucestershire Over 40s women’s team. Her leadership on and off the field reflects a deep commitment to developing the next generation of cricketers.

Maria’s goal is to represent the England Masters team in summer 2026. Having grown up playing in boys’ cricket, she is passionate about the importance of women and girls having access to properly designed kit. She has seen the game evolve, and believes the equipment should evolve with it.

Driven by experience, belief and a love of the game, Maria continues to champion progress in women’s cricket while leading by example every time she steps onto the field.
