Gateley provide Maiden Cricket Kit to schools
We are proud to announce a new stage in our partnership with professional services group Gateley, as we launch an exciting opportunity for primary and secondary schools across Surrey and Berkshire to receive tailored Maiden kit for their girls’ cricket teams.
This partnership is all about supporting the growth and visibility of female cricket at grassroots level, equipping schools with high-quality, inclusive cricket clothing while also providing development opportunities for young female athletes.
Growing Partnership
Last year, Gateley supported 20 of Maiden’s first ambassadors, each receiving kit worth hundreds of pounds to support their personal development on and off the field. Following the success of that campaign, Gateley has now extended their commitment, this year, 150 schoolgirls will be kitted out in branded Maiden teamwear.
Schools can apply to be part of this opportunity to equip and empower the next generation of female cricketers by completing a short application form here. Entries close on 26 June 2025, and selected schools will work directly with our Maiden product team to design their kits, which will be delivered in time for the new academic year in September.
Louise Paterson, partner and head of Gateley’s Guildford office, commented:
“It is wonderful to be expanding our support of Maiden Cricket for another year as we look to get even more youngsters into cricket. We are acutely aware of the unique challenges faced by girls and women in sports and believe this partnership provides them with the opportunity to compete, thrive, and develop as strong and confident athletes.
This doesn’t stop at sport, however. Skills such as resilience, teamwork and leadership can all be developed through playing team sports like cricket and will prove to be essential for success in their future careers.
Whether you are thinking of starting a female cricket team at your school, or whether you have one in place but could do with additional support, we encourage all schools in the region to enter and inspire the next generation of sporting stars.”
We want to see more cricket in all schools
As Honor Black, co-founder at Maiden Cricket, explains:
“We’re so happy to continue our partnership with Gateley, who are great supporters of grassroots sports and championing female players. Maiden was created to give young girls the confidence and comfort they deserve on the pitch and working closely with Gateley helps us to share our mission even further. We encourage all local teams – big or small – to apply, and we can’t wait to see even more girls proudly stepping out in Maiden kit.”
This partnership is part of Gateley’s wider commitment to community partnerships, which also includes initiatives such as Regeneration Brainery, Heart of England Forest, RunThrough, University Academy 92 and STEAMhouse.
