How old were you when you first started playing cricket?
10

How did you get into playing?
Playing in the garden with my brother and dad or at my grandparents house, it's some of my favourite memories as a child, endless summer days just filled with playing cricket!

What is your favourite aspect of the game?
I think just the atmosphere, the feeling when your team is fielding really well, you take a wicket or your batting really well, the atmosphere is electric and it's the best!

How did you first get involved with Maiden Cricket?
My local cricket club president sent a social media post to my dad saying he thought I should apply, I had heard of the brand before and really liked all the kit, and was jumping at the idea of being an ambassador!

What does being an Ambassador mean to you?
I think it's really about the idea of getting more girls comfortable in playing cricket, if girls feel good when playing they will want to play more. When I first started playing cricket I didn't really have anyone to look up to, so I want to give other girls someone to look up to and someone that can help guide them in their journey! I am very fortunate to have so many role models now and coaches and teammates who just get it, and I want all girls playing cricket to have that!

What have you enjoyed the most about being an Ambassador?
I have enjoyed getting to try out all the kit, and some of it has become a regular part of my kit! I also enjoy how supportive everyone is of each other, it just so nice how everyone hypes each other up!

What do you love the most about the Maiden kit? Which is your favourite piece and why?
I love that the kit is made to suit me! I think my favourite has to be the Nightwatch trouser, they are so comfy yet so practical, they are great for indoor and outdoor training, and I don't think I have ever had a pair of cricket trousers fit me so well!

Who is your favourite player?
Amy Jones

Do you have a role model who has influenced you, or changed the way you see the game?
I think just all the female cricketers I have ever played with or against are role models to me. We have all had to face adversity, and we have all risen above it, and just knowing so many girls have risen above it and have become top cricketers just lets me know it is possible!

What advice would you like to pass on to anyone reading this?
Don't let others tell you you aren't good enough, because if you believe that you will be not good enough by doing that. Block the haters out and be you, because you are good enough.

Looking back, is there a moment in your cricket journey that you're especially proud of?
Getting voted players player my first season playing U14's. I had convinced myself at that point that I was the worst player on planet earth, but seeing that my teammates didn't think that really helped me and gave me the motivation I have today to push myself to be the best I can be, and pushed to be where I am today!
