Maiden Cricket founders Honor and Cat Black are appearing on Dragons' Den tonight, taking their story of building female-first cricket kit into the Den.
The Sussex sisters launched Maiden in 2024 with a simple mission: cricket gear built for girls and women, not adapted from men's. As pupils at Hurstpierpoint College, they had grown frustrated wearing boys' kit that didn't fit properly - trousers that ran too long, tops that were see-through, and pads that were either too big or too heavy.
In the two years since, Maiden has grown into a national brand working with clubs, schools, universities and county boards across the UK, backed by a community of more than 300 ambassadors, including current and former players such as Alex Hartley and Mia Rogers.
"Maiden started because we were tired of girls having to compromise on kit that wasn't made for them," said co-founder Cat Black. "Everything we've built is about changing that and making sure female players have products that work for them, not adapted versions of men's gear."
Honor and Cat were joined in the Den by Nicole Muller, mentor and business lead at Maiden Cricket.
