Hurstpierpoint College shared the news that Honor, a former pupil, and her sister Cat, a current student, appeared on Dragons' Den to present Maiden Cricket - the business they built after struggling to find cricket kit designed for girls.
The school's write-up traced Maiden back to the sisters' own experience adapting to kit that wasn't made for them, and how Honor and Cat went on to work directly with a designer and visit factories themselves to develop a range built around fit, comfort and performance, including adjustable hems, stretch fabrics, moisture-wicking materials, built-in protection, and lighter pads and gloves.
Head of College Dominic Mott praised the sisters for driving the project themselves, saying their creativity and sense of mission reflect the values the school aims to instil. He also recalled the girls pitching Maiden to him personally before the school signed on to equip its own girls' cricket teams with the brand.
