Maiden Cricket Featured in The Independent's Dragons' Den Preview

27 August 2026 · Maiden Cricket

Maiden Cricket founders Honor and Cat Black have been featured in The Independent's preview of tonight's Dragons' Den episode, alongside fellow entrepreneurs from Raise Snacks, SealStop and Street Arts Hire.

The Chichester-based sisters, 17 and 16 when they filmed their pitch, entered the Den with business lead Nicole Muller to put their female-first cricket brand in front of the Dragons.

The Independent's preview highlighted how Maiden was born out of the sisters' own frustration playing in kit designed for boys and men, and detailed the brand's approach to building cricket clothing and equipment specifically around the female body — from trousers with a female-specific cut and adjustable hems, to batting pads shaped around the female leg and gloves designed for smaller hands and slimmer fingers.

Honor and Cat's episode airs tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
