Daisy
Leg Spin Bowler and Bat at 6/7, Club and County Cricket, Home School, Knowle & Dorridge, Warwickshire
Daisy has been playing cricket for five years and is already making waves as a leg-spin bowler. Her cricketing journey includes standout moments like taking four wickets in a row for Berkswell U10's boys, being selected to play for Warwickshire county U11's at the age of 8, and winning an Impact Player award in her first season. Daisy was once again picked for Warwickshire U11's at age 9, and she's training with the U13's to play in both U11's and U13's games for the 2025 season.
On the pitch, Daisy’s spin bowling is her calling card, combined with her consistent contributions as a middle-order batter. She is determined, dedicated, and brings energy and precision to every game, all while balancing her school commitments.
Her ambitions are big: Daisy wants to continue promoting girls and women’s cricket, play for Warwickshire Women’s team, represent England in the Women’s national team, and even captain England one day. Beyond playing, Daisy dreams of coaching professional cricket and getting involved in media work. She recently interviewed Warwickshire’s Millie Taylor and thoroughly enjoyed it, showing her potential to grow the game beyond the field.
Daisy joined Maiden because she is passionate about making cricket more accessible and providing more opportunities for girls to play competitive cricket. Daisy started at Stratford-upon-Avon CC but had to travel to other clubs with girls’ teams to play competitive cricket at a young age. She’s excited to be part of Maiden’s mission to make girls’ and women’s cricket visible, accessible, and competitive, helping inspire others to join the game.
