Freya
All Rounder, Club and County Cricket, Verwood Cricket Club, Dorset
Freya has been playing cricket for six years and has already achieved remarkable milestones in her young career. She was selected for Dorset U11 Girls at the age of 8, and one of her proudest moments was bowling out her older brother! Freya’s passion for cricket is undeniable, and she brings energy, determination, and a love for the game to every match.
On the pitch, Freya is a dynamic all-rounder, combining strong batting, effective bowling, and excellent fielding skills. Her dedication to improving her game and her enthusiasm for helping her team succeed make her a standout player in every match.
Her ambition is clear – she hopes to one day play for the England Women’s team, representing her country at the highest level. Beyond that, Freya is passionate about promoting girls’ cricket, sharing the excitement of the game, and inspiring more girls to get involved. She believes that cricket is an awesome sport that deserves more attention, and she’s eager to help make it more accessible for other young girls.
Freya joined Maiden because she believes in the importance of visibility and representation for girls in cricket. She is excited to support Maiden’s mission to make cricket a sport that is equally accessible for both boys and girls, and she hopes to inspire other girls to pick up a bat and ball, just as she has.
