Lara
Bowler, School and Club Cricket, The Weald, Horsham
Lara has been playing cricket for four years and has already made a significant impact in her team. Last year, she was named Bowler of the Season for Capel, where she was the only girl on the team. Lara was thrilled to have the best bowling stats and to receive that recognition, proving her skill and determination.
On the pitch, Lara is a focused and consistent bowler, determined to improve her game and help her team succeed. Her next goal is to make the Sussex County team, and she is excited to continue setting ambitious targets for herself.
Lara’s passion for cricket extends beyond her personal goals. She loves the inclusivity of the sport and is particularly passionate about helping other girls, especially those with autism, feel welcomed into the cricket community. Lara enjoys being part of a girls' team this year, where the camaraderie and support are key to their success. She believes that being part of a team, where players cheer each other on and pick each other up after tough moments, is what makes cricket so special.
Lara joined Maiden because she is inspired by the brand’s inclusive mission and wants to help others feel the same way she does about cricket. She is proud to be part of the Maiden family and would love to be a Maiden Ambassador, using her voice to cheer on and inspire others in the cricket community.
