Cricket Journey: George Wright has spent 12 years playing cricket — but perhaps more importantly, she’s built a community of over 150 women and girls across 10 teams. Her leadership helped her teams win county championships in 2024, and she continues to drive the women’s game forward at Harpenden.

Why Maiden: As the lead for Women’s & Girls’ cricket at her club, George sees the gaps — and knows how to fill them. She wants to support Maiden’s mission to amplify and professionalise the women’s game from grassroots to elite. Her network is big, and so is her belief in what girls can achieve when they’re supported.
