Tessa
Batter/Fielder, Club Cricket, Great Ayton
Tessa has been playing cricket for three years, starting with softball and now transitioning to hardball, while also representing her team at Headingley. Despite being one of the oldest members of her team, Tessa is dedicated to breaking stereotypes and showing that women of any age can excel in cricket.
On the pitch, Tessa is focused, energetic, and a quick learner. Whether it's hitting solid boundaries or fielding with precision, she brings a competitive edge and positivity to every match.
Her ultimate goal is to continue playing long enough to share the field with her daughter, who is 11, in the women’s team. She wants to inspire other women, regardless of age, to join the sport and break through barriers.
Tessa joined Maiden to help promote women’s cricket and challenge misconceptions about age and ability. She wants to show that it's never too late to play and that women of all backgrounds can thrive in the game.
