A determined leader on and off the pitch, with eight years of cricket experience.

This year, Vani created the first ever all-girls cricket team at her school, driven by her passion to promote the game among girls. Having spent much of her cricket journey playing alongside boys, she knows how important it is for girls to feel comfortable and supported on the field without fear of judgement. She has also played a key role in building a girls’ set-up at her former club, helping to establish opportunities for young female players.

She joined Maiden because she believes in engaging and inspiring the next generation of girls in cricket. Growing up in boys’ and men’s cricket until county level, Vani understands the challenges girls can face. As an Indian Asian player, she is proud to represent diversity within the sport and hopes to encourage more girls from all backgrounds to get involved.
