Cricket Journey: Aimee Aikenhead is a left-handed opening batter with international T20 experience across Europe for Jersey. She’s played for Hampshire and Gloucestershire, scored 220 runs in a recent iT20 quadrangular, and was MVP in a final against Germany. She also coaches a girls' club team and works with the Indatwa Cricket Foundation in Rwanda.
Why Maiden: Aimee has battled gender stereotypes her entire career — including having to cut down men’s kit mid-tournament just to play. She’s joining Maiden to help end that story for future players. She believes in a game where all girls feel seen, supported, and properly equipped — and she’s working to spread that vision beyond the UK.
