Mariella has been playing cricket for nine years and is establishing herself as a new ball specialist. She represents her club and county, balancing training and matches with studies at Bishop Luffa, and has earned selection onto the Sussex pathway at under 18 level.

On the pitch, Mariella sets the tone from ball one, strong run up, repeatable action, and a focus on hitting a hard length. She leads the attack, builds pressure, and lifts the field with her competitiveness and communication.

Her ambition is clear, climb as high as possible and play professionally. She wants to keep progressing through the Sussex system, test herself against stronger opposition, and refine the skills that win games.

Mariella joined Maiden to accelerate change in the women and girls game, better fitting kit, better product choices, and player voices driving design. She wants to carry that message into her clubs and teams, helping more girls feel confident, represented, and ready to perform.
